In Rarity Farming Season 7, the DAO gave out a total of 1.6 million GHST in rewards. For the first time, Gotchi Battler was included as part of the rewards, with 100,000 GHST being awarded to an initial set of Gotchi Battler tournaments which are still ongoing. This resulted in 65% of the total rewards going to the BRS leaderboard, 18.7% going to kinship, 9% going to XP, and 6% going to Gotchi Battler.

In a recent SigProp (https://snapshot.org/#/aavegotchi.eth/proposal/0x6714bd532f3bca44a2a92c221d3b57f51682c57047f15505a1205493b7ee4cbf), the DAO was presented with a yes/no vote to include Gotchi Battler as a permanent feature in future rarity farming seasons. The vote did not reference season 8, and included the option to shift 20% of total rewards from the BRS leaderboard to Gotchi Battler. This would result in a roughly 30% decrease in rewards being distributed to the BRS leaderboard. The proposal, which passed sigprop, has not gone to coreprop status.

Recent discussion in the DAO discussion thread for an upcoming rarity farming season 8 has resulted in various opinions as to the extent of the rewards that should be allocated to Gotchi Battler in season 8, and where the rewards should be taken from. This proposal gauges the DAO’s interest in various options. It is not a stand-alone SigProp, and it will be consolidated into a future Rarity Farming Season 8 SigProp.

Options:

Option 1: No reduction in BRS rewards, fund Gotchi Battler independently of Rarity Farming Option 2: Allocate 10% of total rewards to Gotchi Battler, taken solely from BRS Option 3: Allocate 20% of total rewards to Gotchi Battler, taken solely from BRS Option 4: Further discussion needed (please provide note when voting – i.e., “should take from XP and kinship also”, etc)
