This proposal aims to establish a clear and fair process for selecting candidates to fill DAO Director positions, and define term lengths going forward.

As stated in AGIP 50

(https://vote.aavegotchi.com/#/proposal/0x345ddec87f19d29b438ac88d0f947798af6edadbe1116cb64f96edc931f06fb3), the proposal that established the DAO Foundation, it was intended that the DAO would define term lengths for DAO Directors at a future date. This proposal aims to fulfill that mandate. By the end date of this prop, two years would have passed since the establishment of the DAO Foundation. We are proposing to conclude the current term and implement a fixed term length of 12 months going forward.

Candidate Selection Process:

Nominations for Director roles will open immediately after the passing of this core prop and last for a period of 2 weeks. The community will vote to elect new Directors from the nominated candidates through a Snapshot weighted vote. All subsequent elections will occur 4 weeks before a term ends to ensure a seamless transition.

• in the case of removal of a Director, the replacement to finish out the original term, and be up for re-election at the end of the original term with everyone else

• 1 time special case for the latest replacement, aavegotchi1.eth. He will automatically be selected for the next term.

Conclusion:

Voting for this proposal will determine whether or not we adopt the new term lengths. A follow up proposal will be launched upon the passing of this core prop, ending the current term and determining which candidates are selected for the next term.
