Abstract

This proposal establishes a dedicated Legal Communications Working Group while simultaneously off-boarding STORM Partners as legal counsel. The working group will coordinate legal matters between the DAO and future counsel, ensure proper documentation and communication of legal affairs, and oversee the transition of legal responsibilities. The proposal also handles the administrative aspects of ending STORM Partners’ engagement, per the terms established in 1IP-49.

Legal Communications Working Group Structure

• Five initial members:

Working Group Responsibilities

• Coordinate communications between DAO and legal counsel

• Review and distribute legal updates to community

• Monitor legal expenses and retainers

STORM Partners Off-boarding

• Revoke power of attorney granted in 1IP-49

• End legal counsel relationship as established in the Considerations section of 1IP-49: “the Attorney-in-fact shall act solely in adherence to the resolutions passed by the community of the Principal, in accordance with its internal governance rules, through https://snapshot.org/#/1inch.eth”

• Request final accounting of services rendered

• Initiate return of remaining retainer balance to DAO treasury

Timeline

• Working group activation: Immediately upon proposal passage

• STORM Partners off-boarding: Within 14 days of passage

• Retainer return: Within 14 days of passage
