Make Discord to organize DAO work
This is a vote on whether we should create a Discord org to structure DAO work properly. It is not a vote about gating the chat and at this time Discord is not planned to be gated. The idea is to migrate the whole LobsterDAO Kingdom chat there into the main channel, and then create separate channels for work groups doing various tasks.
Preliminary discussion on Github Issues
The problem: Very hard to manage many different directions of work in a one-channel chat like TG. We need separate info flow and working groups on each project partnership, governance discussions, internal organizational work, marketing work and so on.
Did a pre-vote in tele, 50 people voted, 90% said they’d join.
Pros:
- Allows to structure the work the way it needs to be structures.
Cons:
- I dislike discord.
- Another new chat to manage.
- Splitting people attention once again.
Alternative solution
- None?
- We can stay in Telegram, but it’s already a mess.
